Anthony Rugiero’s motto is “tiriamo avanti,” which is Italian for “to always move forward,” which he applies to all aspects of his life. Indeed, it has been perseverance that has seen Antonio’s Corporation and his other ventures grow in an economic time when so many have had to cut back. In the restaurant business, Anthony wisely understood that as long as the restaurant consistently provides quality food, friendly service in a clean atmosphere at reasonable prices it can weather difficult times. He believes that each restaurant must impact its community in a positive way, “making it better for the people who live there.” The reward for this dedication to service has been numerous regular, loyal customers who appreciate the sense of community, leadership and family support.

Bringing this passion and commitment to the important charities he supports is extremely fulfilling for Anthony’s work and life. He can attribute his success to staying focused, positive and surrounding himself with a great team. He consistently endeavors to be involved and strongly get behind worthwhile community organizations whether it is supporting the local school, sponsoring the Dearborn Spirit Fest or helping individuals holding office in the community, his involvement makes a positive impact.

Anthony states “I am proud to serve on a number of Boards of Directors including the Detroit Opera House, Patrons of the Art of the Vatican Museum, Italian Language Inter-Cultural Alliance (ILICA), The Italian Film Festival USA, 13th District Republican Party and the Veteran’s Court for Southeast Michigan”. Recently, appointed Chairman of the International Institute Foundation – an organization of business leaders dedicated to supporting newly-arrived immigrants realizing their American Dream.

Through his leadership, Anthony applies his dedication and know-how allowing him to always move forward, “tiriamo avanti.”
